Concert Venues

We will be dividing the concerts between 4 islands, 3 concerts per island. The venues have very limited space so be sure to beek early in order to avoid having to miss our on this unique experience!

Austre Åmøy kapell

Austre Åmøy Kapell, located on the eastern part of Åmøy island in Stavanger Municipality, is a charming wooden chapel built in 1904, designed by architect Jæger. Constructed in a long church style, it reflects early 20th-century Norwegian architecture with its simple, functional design. The chapel seats about 120 people, making it an intimate venue for small gatherings and concerts.

Utstein kloster

Utstein Kloster, situated on Klosterøy in Stavanger Municipality, is Norway’s best-preserved medieval monastery, with its church, Utstein Klosterkyrkje, built between 1263 and 1280. Dedicated to Saint Lawrence, the stone church was constructed using local kleberstein (soapstone) from Ertenstein on Rennesøy and Åmøy, featuring a rectangular nave and chancel with a central tower. The church seats about 300 people, ideal for concerts and events. Originally an Augustinian monastery, it later served as a royal estate and manor, now functioning as a museum and cultural venue

Askje kirke

Askje Kirke, also known as Rennesøy Kirke, is located on Askje in Stavanger Municipality. This stone church, built in a Romanesque style around 1130, features thick walls and a simple, rectangular design typical of early medieval Norwegian architecture. It seats approximately 250 people, offering a cozy setting for concerts.

Finnøy kirke

Finnøy Kirke, also called Hesby Kirke, is located in the village of Hesby on Finnøy island in Stavanger Municipality. This stone church, constructed in a long church design around 1090, is one of the oldest in the region, with 1-meter-thick walls reflecting its medieval origins. It seats about 230 people, providing an intimate space for performances. The church, part of Hesby parish, features Gothic spire windows added around 1250, blending Romanesque and Gothic elements.
